海伍德家人就索赔一事似乎出现了分歧 Aug 21st 2013, 00:16 据华尔街日报今天报道，声称受到海伍德家属委托的律师贺正生8月19日在新浪微博发表声明称，有关媒体近期所披露的声明与目前的客观事实不符，对公众造成了误导。并说这个近期的声明并非海伍德家属提供。 对于赔偿问题贺正生表示，他和谷开来的律师就有关赔偿的金额进行多轮磋商，双方差距正在收窄。他还说"中国政府为双方律师的接触与协商提供了便利。
